If you block someone on your hotmail account, do they get a message saying they've been blocked?

I blocked someone on my hotmail email, when they send me a email, does something go back to them saying they are blocked???

It's been a while since I used Hotmail, but they may or may not receive a message back saying that any e-mails they sent failed to be delivered, though, it didn't ever say that it was because they were blocked. That was years and years ago, though (1998?).
Reply:Yes they get an email saying they have been blocked, they also get a hard copy confirmation posted to their house andd a followup telephone call just to make sure they have received it

Reply:No. Nothing is sent to the other person. if you blocked them and they are online they just think you are offline.
Reply:No, blocking someone is completely confidential. They will just see you as offline on MSN, and there emails will simply never reach you if you block them on your email as well.





There was programs on the Internet which managed to detect if someone had blocked you or not, however in recent years Microsoft have changed there security settings and so this is no longer possible.
Reply:yes, when they try 2 e-mail u they get something saying like sever error.
Reply:No, they won't know if you've blocked them. You'll just be shown as offline to them.
