Is there a way to automatically change all my old hotmail msn contacts to my new hotmail account?
I am assuming that you are referring to the web-based email offered by Microsoft. In that case, I don't think you have to do anything. When the old Hotmail changes to the new Windows Live Mail it will also change your contacts with it.

How can I tell if someone has logged into my hotmail account, but are not opening emails, just looking at them
hi. as per my knowledge there isnt any practical way to check out who accessed the mails ....ya but there is ONE WAY...
that is MY WAY.....if u smart enough u can get knw if any one opened your emails.
u must be knowing tat when u send an e-card , we always get a notification as YOUR E-CARD HAS BEEN RECIEVED AND YOUR E-CARD HAS BEEN VIEWED. this happens only when person opens that particular msg/email.
so if u wanna check tat than send one of the ecards to your mail having fancy/sexy titles [remember that you send it via another name and email address]
and if anybody access your a/c and opens that you will be instantly notified on the another email tat u specified.
if you liked my ans..
be my fan.so tat i can come to knw tat my logic did work and helpd u.
Reply:you can't ...even if that person opened the emails , read them and then marked them as unread u can't know ..only one chance if that person was reading that mail and u signed in b4 he markes them as unread then u would see ur mail read and u haven't read it then u would know someone has been there
Reply:if you are worried just change your password, problem solved

What can a stranger find out from my hotmail email account?
if i give someone my hotmail email address, can they find out my full name, address, school, etc? I have heard some stuff about IP addresses but i'm not exactly sure what they are or what sort of information they give. by just chatting with someone on msn, can they find out personal information even without me telling them?
What can a stranger find out from my hotmail email account?
no, they can not find out that information unless you have posted that information online somewhere ('posted online' includes 'used to sign up with a website').
if they get your IP address (they would have to have hacking software to get your IP address from msn, it is very unlikely), they can use the IP address to get your general location (like what city you live in, and maybe what general area of the city like "north half" or "south half") but no closer than that.
Reply:As long as the data in your hotmail profile isn't personal, the likelyhood of them getting personal data is minimal. The IP address located in an email will give them a way to track you down, but it is rather difficult to find out, unless they work for your ISP.
Reply:YES!
that is WHY YOU NEVER PUT YOUR REAL NAME on your account or ANY of your accounts.. Make up fake names. fake addresses, and fake birthdates, never put any REAL informaiton on your accounts, someone could easily HACK into your site %26amp; Get all your Personal Information....
You SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS!!!!
Reply:it depends on what information you give out when you create the account and also what you have on your profile. i don't use any real information and i don't add anything to profile either. privacy starts with you and what you give out !
Reply:everything you recorded except a few personal stuff...
Reply:dont think so if you just chat with them on msn..
but if you send them an email it will come up with your full name (well at least that what it does on mine for some reason lol)
Reply:make sure ur privacy settings are set so noone can see ur info. but if they hate u they could email u a pc virus
Reply:PASSWORD is the key lol.......
Reply:Nope as long as they dont have your password your good ...

Is it possible to have your hotmail account hacked?
ITS POSSIBLE FOR ANY COMPUTER SOURCE TO GET HACKED.
Is it possible to have your hotmail account hacked?
yes
Reply:yeah
Reply:yep! I had a security class in college and we d/l software off the internet and were able to hack into email accounts (yahoo, hotmail) that WE MADE...not other ppls (and this was done on a private network...not public) but yes it is possible. If ur password is easy...then change it to have symbols, numbers, few alphabet characters, etc. Then it'll make it harder
Reply:Yes, everything is at riks of being hacked. To prevent this, use a strong password. A combo of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, symbols, and punctuation marks. At least 8 characters, the longer the better. You should change your password at least once a month. Also to prevent backdoor intrusions, use a very hard to guess security question, or make your answer non-related to the question. And also avoid phishing sites, ensure that the site has HTTP or HTTPS at the beginning the URL. You can also check the site with the lock near the status bar.
Reply:yes it happened to me
Reply:Yes but very unusual
Reply:Yes, its definitely possible, especially if you have an easy-to-guess password.
Reply:if you use a password that is easy to guess then yes - use Upper and lower case letters + numbers + special characters (whatever msn will allow). the password length should be at least 8 characters.

If we dont log in a hotmail account, for how many days will it be closed? 30 or 60 days? How can we know if a?
After 30 days..if you don't log onto hotmail..it just puts your account on pause...
If you want to find out if your friend's account it closed..just simply send an email...
If it delivers back..it means your friend's account is closed..
Reply:Why Hotmail? Use Yahoo, Gmail or any other friendly and big email box........

How do I forward a copy of emails i received ( and sent ) on a hotmail account to another hotmail account..?
P.s I need just a copy from emails to be forwarded not to forward the emails and delete them from the original account ..
How do I forward a copy of emails i received ( and sent ) on a hotmail account to another hotmail account..?
If you mean make an actual copy of the email with the same from address and all, simply you can't. If you just want the same content, I recommend copy and paste.
