How can I get into my Hotmail account when i forgot the password?!?

I have a Hotmail account that is connected to my XBOX Live account. I recently tried to access my account to remember that I forgot the password. I tried to send the password, but it resends to the email account I can't get into. And I can't remember the secret word I set up? And now it says that I can't do anything because it has been tried too many times. What can I do to get my password?

How To Close Your Account





Free Windows Live Hotmail accounts become inactive if you don't sign in for 120 days, or within the first 10 days after signing up for an account. After an account becomes inactive, all messages, folders, and contacts are deleted, but the account name is still reserved. If the account stays inactive for an additional 90 days, the account name may be permanently deleted.


If you don't use your Windows Live ID for 365 days, your Windows Live ID may be permanently deleted.

Change your password





Sign in to the Windows Live Hotmail website with your Windows Live ID (The user name and password that you use to sign in to any Windows Live, MSN, or Office Live sites and services. If you have a Passport Network, Hotmail, or Messenger account, you can use it as your Windows Live ID.) .


In the upper-right corner of the page, click Options, and then click More options.


Under Manage your account, click View and edit your personal information.


Next to Password, click Change.


Type your old password, type your new password twice, and then click Save.

you will see safe and blocked senders


choose blocked senders


type in the address


click add





Remove Block Sender

Reply:This happened to me. I was told that someone was illegally using my ebay account. Dumb me- I had the same password on my hotmail account. So, when I tried to login the hacker had already changed the password and secret answer. Report Abuse

Reply:I doubt you can, if you forgot the answer to your 'secret' question, otherwise it wld. be easy for others to hijack accounts. How on earth can you forget your own secret question !!!
